About the red melon discus

Discus need 30 degrees, soft water and a large water change routine you will actually keep to. They are not difficult so much as unforgiving of neglect. We only sell them to keepers who have run a stable planted tank for a year, and we will happily talk you out of it if the timing is wrong.

If any of that changes your mind, that is the page doing its job. Nobody loses a deposit for deciding against an animal after reading about it.

  • We do not ship live animals

    No courier, no cargo hold, no airport collection. Every animal leaves in your hands from the counter on Al Muntasir Road. Supplies travel in our van across the northern emirates. Animals never do.

  • A person answers, not a form

    Your enquiry lands on the phone behind the counter and comes back with questions. Nothing is reserved by clicking a button, and no deposit is taken until we have both said yes.

  • We will decline if the setup is not right

    If the tank has not cycled or the housing is undersized, we will say so, tell you what would change it, and hold the animal while you sort it out. That is the reason there is no checkout on this page.
