Terms of sale
The commercial terms that apply when you order from Fins & Paws Aquatics & Pet Supplies LLC, trade licence RAK-1104782.
Updated 3 June 2026
Who these terms are with
These terms apply to every order placed with Fins & Paws Aquatics & Pet Supplies LLC, trade licence RAK-1104782, registered and trading from Shop 4, Al Muntasir Road, Al Nakheel, Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. We refer to the company as “we” or “us” throughout. The terms apply the same way whether you order through the website, on WhatsApp or in person at the shop.
When a contract forms
Adding an item to your cart, or asking about one on WhatsApp, is not an order. Placing an order and paying, or agreeing a price on WhatsApp, is your offer to buy. A contract only exists once we send you an order confirmation by email or WhatsApp confirming the items, price and delivery details. Until that confirmation goes out, we can decline an order, most often because of a stock or pricing error covered below.
Pricing and VAT
All prices on the site are in AED and already include 5 percent UAE VAT at 5 percent. Your order confirmation and receipt itemise the VAT portion separately and carry our Tax Registration Number, so they can be used for your own accounting. Prices can change at any time for future orders, but never for an order we have already confirmed.
Stock and pricing errors
Occasionally an item is listed at the wrong price, or shows in stock when it is not. If that happens after you have paid, we contact you before doing anything else. You can take the item at the correct price, choose a substitute, or cancel that part of the order for a full refund. We never simply charge the corrected amount without asking.
Payment methods
- Card and supported digital wallets, processed by Stripe.
- Tabby, splitting an order into four payments, subject to Tabby’s own eligibility check and its own terms between you and Tabby.
- Cash on delivery, available inside Ras Al Khaimah for orders under AED 500.
Delivery and when risk passes
We carry the risk of loss or damage to your order while it is in transit, whether that is on our own van or with our courier partner. Risk passes to you at the point of handover: when you or someone at your address signs for or accepts the delivery, or when you collect it from the shop. From that point, any damage that happens is outside our control.
Live animals
An enquiry is not a reservation
Messaging us about an animal, or visiting to see one, does not hold it for you. An animal is only reserved once we agree a deposit with you, typically 20 percent of the price, paid to us directly. Until that deposit is paid, the animal remains available to other buyers.
We can decline to sell any animal at our own discretion, including where we judge that your space, experience or household is not right for that species. This is not negotiable and it is not personal, it is the same standard we apply to every buyer.
By paying a deposit or completing a purchase, you confirm that you understand and can meet the space, diet, lifespan and social needs described on the animal’s listing, and that you have read the care information we give you at handover. The animal remains our stock, and our responsibility, until the balance is paid and handover is complete.
Warranties and limitation of liability
Products carry the warranty described on the returns page, 24 months on tanks, pumps and lights, and whatever period the manufacturer states for other categories. Where a product is faulty, our liability is limited to repairing it, replacing it or refunding the price you paid for that item.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as loss of livestock other than the item purchased, or loss of enjoyment, arising from a faulty product, except where that loss results from our own negligence. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any right that cannot lawfully be excluded under UAE law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. Any dispute that cannot be resolved directly is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ras Al Khaimah.
